Getting Here

The easiest way to reach Shigar is by flying into Skardu, with PIA offering flights from Islamabad. From Skardu, hire a jeep or take a shared van for a 1.5 to 2-hour ride to Shigar. Alternatively, from Gilgit, it's a 5-hour drive through scenic mountain landscapes.

Imagine stepping into a 17th-century fort with a rich history that’s the Shigar Fort. It's not only a fascinating piece of architecture but also a base for trekkers heading to K2 Base Camp.
