GHIZER

Land of Lakes

the land of mesmerizing lakes and landscapes.

Probably all the languages of the surrounding regions can be heard in Ishkoman, except for Balti. Most of the people in the area are bilingual. The languages spoken indicate the pattern of migration into the valley.

THUI PASS FROM NIALTHI IN THE YASIN VALLEY TO YARKHUN VALLEY

This is a scenic, moderate trek following the ancient trade routes and has the dramatic views of the Thui Peaks and other 6000m mountains. The trek requires stamina and good health, as for three days you are at the highest shepherd’s summer settlements. You can do this trek in either direction and can combine it with the Shah Jinali treks in the west in Chitral or any of the treks between Yasin and Ishkoman to the east.
